There is no other band in the world like Brooklyn's Red Baraat. Using North Indian Bhangra music as a foundation, this eight piece ensemble integrates the brass sounds of New Orleans, rhythms from DC's regional Go-Go music, hard funk, and jazz. Hailed by NPR as "the best party band in years", Red Baraat perform all over the world from Central Park to the White House. Led by Sunny Jain, the foremost dholi in the West, this is an extraordinary band that does extraordinary things. In addition to playing nearly 200 dates a year at festivals, theaters, and sold out clubs, the band has performed at the flagship TED conference, at the closing ceremony of the 2012 Paralympic Games in Trafalgar Square, and at the personal request of social, cultural, and political leaders worldwide. MHA provides worldwide management for Red Baraat.
